How to apply: Redlands Unified seniors receive a link to the single scholarship application through their school Gmail from the District Office — about one week before the application opens — and in their Senior Google Classroom. One application is considered for every scholarship below.

Barbara Bonnema Memorial Scholarship

$500

Several $500 or greater scholarships may be awarded to students who show academic excellence as well as a financial need. The students must also be college-bound graduating seniors who will be attending school on a full-time basis.

Cram Elementary School PTA Scholarship

$500

Two $500 scholarships may be awarded to graduating seniors who attended Cram Elementary School for at least two years and have a 3.0 GPA or better who plans on attending a Junior College or four-year college.

IGR Resiliency Foundation Scholarship

$500

This $500 celebrates students who have faced challenges and risen above them with determination, hope, and strength. This $500 scholarship supports a graduating senior who has demonstrated resilience through personal, academic, or social obstacles and remains committed to pursuing higher education. Students who have received Special Education-related services or individualized support are strongly encouraged to apply, as this scholarship honors students who have worked hard to overcome barriers and move forward. Recipients may attend any accredited college, university, or vocational program of their choice, whether nearby at Crafton Hills College, San Bernardino Valley College, or Cal State San Bernardino, or beyond, as they expand their horizons and soar toward greater opportunities. Applicants should have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, but students with lower GPAs are also encouraged to apply if they can show persistence, growth, and effort toward their goals. A personal statement of at least 300 words (up to 500 words preferred) should tell your story of resilience, how you faced challenges, what you learned, and how you continue to move forward. The committee values honesty, effort, and heart above perfection. This scholarship honors the courage to keep going, the belief in one’s own potential, and the power of turning struggle into strength.

Kiwanis Club of Redlands Foundation Scholarship

$3,000

One $3,000 award disbursed over a two-year period. Students having satisfactory academic achievement, community service, extracurricular activities or school involvement and a maximum 300 word essay answering the question: “What are my academic and/or career goals and why do I deserve to be considered for this scholarship award?” will be interviewed with one awardee and one alternate being selected from Redlands eAcademy.

Mentone Elementary School PTA Scholarship

$500

This $500 scholarship is awarded by the Mentone Elementary PTA to a graduating senior who attended Mentone Elementary School for at least three years and has demonstrated excellence in citizenship and community service.

Redlands Administrative Personnel Association Diversity and Equity Scholarship Scholarship

$500

These $500.00 scholarships may be awarded to one graduating senior for each high school (CVHS, REV, RHS, OHS) in honor of previous RUSD Superintendent, Mauricio Arellano who was a champion for equity. This scholarship supports underrepresented students who have overcome a significant challenge related to inequity. It aims to empower students who have faced and worked through an inequitable situation through finding their voice and advocating for their success. Students who apply must have good citizenship, and they must submit a 500-word essay sharing a specific time where they faced an inequitable situation and how they worked through that situation through self advocacy. These scholarships are open to students pursuing any form of higher education or career technical education, regardless of field or discipline. Whether enrolled in a traditional academic program or specialized vocational training, all eligible students are encouraged to apply. A screening committee composed of RAPA members will meet to determine the most deserving applicants based on an objective scoring system.

This $300 scholarship may be awarded to graduating seniors who have a minimum 3.0 GPA and are active in non-school service groups such as church, scouts, or community service clubs.

Redlands eAcademy PTSA Scholarship

$500

These $500 scholarships may be awarded to a Redlands eAcademy graduating senior. The student must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and be a member of Redlands eAcademy PTSA. Include an essay (maximum 500 words) about an eAcademy character trait that you feel you exemplify or in which you have show significant growth. Give specific answers to support your choice.

Redlands Swim Team Scholarship

$500

Six $500 scholarships will be awarded to swimmers with Redlands Swim Team who have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Must be a current swimmer or have swum with Redlands Swim Team for 3 of the last 4 years. Please write a 300-word essay using the following prompt: How has your time with RST impacted the person you are today, and what lessons and skills have you learned that will help you achieve your educational goals?

Redlands Teachers Association Scholarship

$1,000

Several $1,000 scholarships may be awarded to graduates of Redlands Unified. Candidates for the scholarships should be in good standing in regards to grades and citizenship. A candidate with an RTA connection will be given priority preference. Candidates pursuing a profession in the teaching field will be given secondary preference. In order to receive awarded monies, the candidate must have already been admitted to a trade school, community college, 4-year college or university.

Richard P. Fields Scholarship

$5,000

One $5000 scholarship may be awarded to a student with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and a maximum of 3.5 with the intention to pursue a degree or a career in a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) discipline at either a trade school, community college, or 4-year college/university. Financial need is a requirement. The recipient must have a minimum of 100 hours of community service, volunteering, or work experience throughout high school. Write an essay in 500 words or less describing how your past has prepared you for your vision of the future.

The Patty Ahearn-Victoria Elementary School Scholarship

$500

This $500 scholarship may be awarded to a graduating senior from any Redlands Unified high school who has a 2.5 GPA or higher. This student must have attended Victoria Elementary School for at least three years and has continued to follow the Victoria Peace Builders Pledge.
